Twitter & Facebook or Snapchat & Instagram.

Choose 2-3 different online communications mediums (ie. email, blogging, Twitter), and compare their methods, and audiences. Why would an organization choose to use one over another?

Twitter ,Facebook ,Snapchat and Instagram are the most popular social media platforms that we have today. Facebook was the first among these social media platforms to be created. it may seem like Facebook has died out, but you’d be surprised how many people still use Facebook, especially people of the older generation. in my experience I found that for them, this is one of the simplest social media platforms they can use. its not like the younger generation don’t use Facebook, but they don’t pay as much attention to it as Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram. Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram are more common among the younger generation. Most of the older generations complain that twitter is too complicated and they understand why they have to post a picture that will disappear after 24 hours. But this is just in my experience. Almost everyone has access to social media today. Even kids at the age of 9 (even younger) have smartphones and are already buried face deep in their phones. Organizations that would want to promote themselves would choose Twitter over all else. My reason for this would be; things posted on Snapchat are deleted in 24 hours, therefore not a very good way to advertise. Instagram and Facebook are mostly used for stalking people and posting pictures, again speaking from experience…..not that I stalk people!. Twitter overall is the one of the best ways for an organization to advertise, its popular, the fact that that you can only post with 140 characters makes people come up with creative posts and then having the short attention span that we have today, one can just glance at an advertisement and decide to patronize that organization.
